Cirque De Soleil. lol0

Cirque De Soleil tickets are very expensive, but from what I hear it's worth it. When I went to Vegas, we spent a lot of time walking the strip and checking out the different casinos. Also had a great time at the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace. Make sure you go to the top of the Stratosphere too! Have a great time!0

Some neat evening things to do that are all free (after dark is best) are:
1. Fountains at Bellagio syncronized to music
2. Volcano eruption at Mirage
3. Pirate ship fight at Treasure Island
4. Canopy light show on Fremont Street
I love, love, love Las Vegas; unfortunately, I have not been for 5 years so I don't really know what casinos to hit any more.0 -
If you want to do Vegas on the cheap focus your time on Old Town versus the Strip - of course you gotta do the strip a bit. Old Town has recently been redone and has a lot of the traditional "cheap" meals, etc. Re. $ for gambling - I never take more than I can afford to loose, if I am going to stress out about losing money I am not going to have fun. FYI - You can find low calorie options at most places in Las Vegas, even at some of the buffets.0

The only casino I've won at is a little dumpy one called Slots a Fun - across the street from Riviera.0

You mean Cirque De Soleil?? HaHa!
It alldepends on where you eat, if you want to see shows, if you drink lots, if you gamble $ wise! I don't think anyone can tell you!
Its hard to eat healthy there though!
I do recommend the mexican restaurant near the MGM though (Think its next to the M&M shop!)
I went to see KA in the MGM which is a cirque de soleil that was amazing! But wished I had seen L O V E the beatles cirque!!
Also Menupause is a really funny show, especially if your all girls! Think that's in the Luxor!!!
Have an amazing time!0 -
We saw the Beatles "Love" show at the Mirage - it was the most beautiful thing we ever saw.
Also at the Mirage, the Siegfried & Roy Secret Garden - if you like to see the big cats up close. Beautiful.0 -
The "cheapest" Cirque Du Soleil show is Mystere at Treasure Island...and is hands down my favorite of all the ones I've seen. I think you can get tickets for around $75 or so if I remember right.
Honestly there is so much to see just on the main strip alone that you don't really need to spend all that much money to have a good time.
If you have $100 per day you could get by for food and a few drinks and a tiny tiny bit to spend. Thats pretty bare bones though. I would suggest figuring out what you might want to do (clubs, zipline on the old strip, tours, etc. etc. etc) and then figure out how much money you need. Also bring cash because the ATM fees are flucking outrageous to withdraw money.
I would suggest taking extra money and going out to one super super good restaurant though. I mean in vegas you some major five star michelen star restaurants and it would be a great experience if you are into that.
One restaurant suggestIon: The Cave at Wynn. It is a Tapas style restaurant and the food is decent priced and super tasty. Ambience is also fantastic.0 -
Cirque de soleil shows are pretty expensive. The cheapest one is Mystere at TI but is very good!
It's hard to say how much money to bring. It depends on how much you gamble, eat & drink. O'Sheas and Casino Royale are great smaller, cheaper casinos.
There are many cheaper show options too if you are looking for something to do, check out vegas.com.
If you've never been there, just checking out all the massive casinos and people watching can be entertaining enough.
I love Vegas! I am going back in Oct, can't wait!0 -
I'm going there next week too for a week. The shows are expensive. The buffets are sinful but there is so much to see for free. You HAVE to take in the Freemont St experience. Go at night for that one.
Other have suggested the Bellagio light show, The mirage has an "volcanic eruption" every night. Treasure Island has pirate shows every night.
The buffets are around $20-$30 a pop, depending on the hotel.
We're staying in Circus Circus. Its cheap and family friendly.
If you're going to gamble, take about as much as you're willing to lose. I'm taking around $600 for meals and non gambling activities and staying with friends for the second part of the week, I'm hoping that'll be enough for just one person.

1st i just want to say that circus-o-lay is a waayy better name. i love it!
the aquarim at mandalay bay is awesome & worth the wait to get in. i loved just walking the mall at aladdin and the venetian. i've heard that new york new your is fun as it has the mini-carnival with all the rides. i don't know the price of it though. i've only been once and we stayed at the imperial palace. of course there are tons of places to just walk around take in all the sights. my only suggestion on food would be avoid the buffet at rio. not worth it. it's a huge spread but the food wasn't that great (at least when we were there). and avoid oxygen bars. really? what's the point of these? i breathe oxygen all the time for free. whay do we need to pay for it?0 -
Once you get your drunk on, does it really matter where you go or do?0

There's a double decker sight seeing bus that travels in a loop around the strip. You can get off and on as you please. I don't remember how much it costs, but we did that and went to a lot of the hotels and walked around. Ceaser's Palace, New York, Venetian, Mandaly Bay...all of the theme hotels have shops you can walk around for free.
Hoover Dam is also worth the trip. You can rent a car for cheap for a day or many of the hotels have day trips that leave from the lobby. Valley of Fire and Red Rock Canyon are pretty cool too, but you'd have to go early in the morning so you don't get heatstroke.
Have Fun!!0 -
Bump for later; going to Vegas in July0

The breakfast buffet at the Wynn blows too. I was just there in March and took customers there - yuck.
I've stayed at Mirage, MGM, TI, Wynn and Mandalay Bay. I think Mirage is still my favorite place to stay. One of these days I will stay at Caesars but don't have the money for it now. The forum shops are still my fav place to shop.
I'd say the new Pirates show IMO is not for children. Its pretty racy. I prefer the old show better.
There are so many new hotel/casinos on the strip that you could spend a day just checking them out. I hear Aria and Cosmo are great.
OH and if you want a hands down mouth watering hamburger - go to Burger Bar in Mandalay Bay. The meal will cost between $20-$35 and it is awesomeness!!0 -
I've stayed at Stratosphere and Luxor. Both were nice! Also good price.. $60-$70 a night. If you're looking to have fun bring hotel money, lots of food money (buffet 20-30 per meal per person). Then fun money... I'd say 1000 for a week.0
