Halfway to my Goal!

I am halfway to my goal, I am now down to what I weighed at my wedding 5 years ago!
I just want to encourage people out their to stick with it. My sister-in-law and I have been doing this together and both feel that MFP is different from any other diet or weight loss attempt we have ever made. I know that I am going to reach my goal, and furthermore, I KNOW I am going to maintain my achievement! I have never felt this before... deep down I never really believed I would get down to what I used to weigh, and deep down I never really believed that I would be able to keep it off. But I believe it now and it's an amazing feeling. Earlier this year I had "given up" I got rid of all of my old clothes and had just about resigned to being overweight and then I found MFP... :-)
Just a couple of tips:
If you've just started out and are not losing anything, try adjusting your lifestyle activity level lower, unless you have it set on sedentary, it will assign you fewer calories. A couple of friends had their's set to "lightly active" and were not making any progress until they changed it.
It tells you not to eat too few calories or you will go into starvation mode. If you are eating fewer than your daily allowance and not losing anything, try bumping it up and see what happens. This really helped when I hit a slow spot.
Losing weight is hard and it requires sacrifice and self control, keeping weight off is a lifestyle commitment and requires a long term CHANGE. You have to stop hoping you can do it and start believing that you will! :-)
Good luck!
