My friend says she wears a counter to count her steps. She says she tries to do 1,000 steps a day. Does anyone else do this?

I don't, but if you have a smartphone...there's an app for that!0

I use the Nintendo DS walking - just drop it in your pocket, and it tracks your steps from the time it goes in your pocket until the end of the day when you download the data into the DS. I started with a setting of 2,000 steps/day; my steps are now set at 6,000 steps/day. Since joining MFP and getting in alot more exercise, my steps have increased, on some days, to over 10,000/day.0
