take your arm out of the water for a second and then push the buttons. I use mine in the water all the time- I jut dont push the buttons under water, I take my arm out let it dry for a sec then change what ever I want to see

I dont have an HRM but have seen the prices, generally electronics that dont SAY they can be used in or under water shouldnt be used in a pool. So that should be looked up on the manufacturers website or in the manual. WHy fry something you just spent all that money on?

No your not going to kill it by swimming. I'd just take your arm out of the water when you want to change the screens. Also don't forget to wash your strap after a dip in the pool.
