Jillian Michaels rotation

Hello

After attempting P90X a few times I have decided that it is not the right program for me right now. So I was looking at the Jillian Michaels workouts. They get brilliant reviews and after trying Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones I am sold. I have tried the 30 Day Shred in the past but didn't like it that much but will give it another go.

Now I have made up my own rotation of mainly JM workouts. I am doing two workouts a week that are not JM.
I was wondering if someone would like to join in. Of course it doesn't have to be the same rotation but maybe people that do some of the JM workouts and are looking for support.

My rotation is the following

Monday: 6 Week 6 Pack
Tuesday: Tony Horton 1 on 1 Bun Shaper or Brazil Butt Lift High and Tight (I want to work on my legs)
Wednesday: Power Yoga (I have several Yoga DVD's)
Thursday: Boost Metabolism Burn Fat
Friday: No More Trouble Zones
Saturday: Yoga Meltdown
Sunday: Rest

I thought this is a pretty good mix. One of the reasons why I stopped P90X is just because sometimes I don't have the time to exercise...So on some days I might substitute with the Shred.

This is my rotation and I would be happy if people would join me....No matter what rotation you are doing...

Daisy

Sounds good to me.. I love Jillian's workouts! I just did her 6 week 6 pack abs 1 awhile ago. I'll mix it up with some other workouts I do from my cable demand. Great idea

Great!! I'll try 6 weeks 6 pack for the first time on Monday! Looking forward to it. Hope it is not too hard on the lower back as this is a weak part for me....

Yesterday I have tried Yoga Meltdown. I was looking forward to it. I did enjoy it but I think it is a workout I will like more once I have done it a few times....I had to look up to the screen a few times to see the poses. So I think once I know the routine I can get more out of the workout.

Overall I have to say I love the JM workouts. I have now done BMBF and NMTZ and YM and love them all. They seem to be exactly what I want at the moment. I can feel it all over my body. I am currently still on holidays but once I am home on Tuesday my diet will be better again and I believe the weight will come off. I will weigh in every Wednesday.

It would be great if people would join :flowerforyou:

So after my rest day on Sunday yesterday it was time for 6 week 6 pack. Just as with Yoga Meltdown I think I have to do it a couple of times to get the most out of it. I have to work on my form. I personally feel that on Yoga Meltdown and on 6W6P Jillian good give more information on the correct form but I know the form will get better automatically once I have done the workout a couple of times.

It seems this thread is more a personal blog no so I'll keep posting.

Overall I feel pretty good. I am still on holidays so my eating is not ideal but I can already feel the workouts are doing something. Today I will be retuning home and will get back onto my diet. I am looking forward to it as I think I then (hopefully) will have changes in my body!

    Hi Daisy

Im doing 6 week 6 pack and and week 2 (level 1) and love it. Im doing it about 3/4 times per week and also doing Couch to 5K 3 times per week. After the first time I did it my lower back was a bit achy so hope your is ok - from your pic you look alot fitter than me so Im sure it will be.

Ive got boost metabolism and going to get no more trouble zones next and start to rotate so will defo keep an eye how you are doing.

    Hello!

My lower back was fine actually. I am really struggling with those side planks though...It is nearly impossible for me to do! But I'll work my way up to it!

At some point I want to add couch to 5K to my routine. I have done it for a few weeks in the past and liked it and I miss running. I will wait for a few weeks though.

Great that you'll start a JM rotation too...Please feel free to join in again :flowerforyou:

And I take it as a big compliment that you thought the pic is me as it is the beautiful Marilyn Monroe

And just another question but how do you read threads on the Iphone? I have one too but can only see the status etc...Sorry hope you don't mind me asking....

    All the best

    Hi

I really struggle with the side planks too, for half of it I put my other hand down so my arm doesnt snap off!! lol. The other thats kills me are the burpies (sp) but I can manage them.

Yeah I defo will start rotating and follow this thread:

This week I will stick with the 2:
    Mon C25K
    Tues 6W6P
    Wed C25K
    Thurs 6W6P
    Fri C25K
    Sat 6W6P

I also walk the dogs for 30-60 mins each day.

Next week I will change it round.

On Iphone is on Safari/internet - its a bit of a pain as its small and you have to move the screen around but like to look when I can. (On comp now).

That looks like a great rotation...6 week 6 pack is a great overall workout I think. Oh I can't stand those burpees either...they make me dizzy...

Have you tired NMTZ or BFBM yet?

Great to have you on board

WOW Dixie! That is amazing! In your before pictures you're in better shape than I am now! To be honest I thought that you look really nice already but your afters!! Your body looks amazing! What a result!! How long did that take you? And also did you just do the DVD's or something else too? And also did you do one each day or did you do more each day? Sorry for all the questions but you are so inspirational!

Also I want to say thank you for taking the time to post on this thread! It is really kind of you and the kind of motivation I need.

Imagine your results you'll get from P90X

Again thank you and well done!!

    Daisy!

You are too sweet...Thank you! My final pics were taken 6 months after my son was born, I got busy as soon as the doctor cleared me, so it took about 4 1/2 months. I started with the 30 DS doing it 6 days a week, for about a week and a half on each level. I then added in the Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones dvds and did them in a rotation called the 30 Day Slim Down (I'll post the schedule at the bottom for you). Then I got her Ripped in 30 dvd and did it 6 days a week, 1 week for each level. I paired my workout with counting calories and I always allow myself one cheat day per week where I don't count calories (gotta give yourself a break sometimes). I started out being kind of a wimp and not really going hard during the workouts but then I started liking them....and I kind of got addicted lol. The key is to kick *kitten* every single time you work out....I always feel like somebody is just gonna have to scrape me off of the floor when I'm done. I didn't go to the gym or anything else. If you go hard at it like that, you will definitely get good results! Oh and don't pay attention to the scale, take before pictures and measurements...I only weigh 10 lbs less in my after pictures!!!! I didn't really feel like I'd made any progress until I finally took after pictures and I couldn't believe it either lol. Thank you again and good luck! Feel free to ask me any more questions you have!

    Hello

Thanks a lot for taking the time to post again! And for the schedule! It's great!
I always measure as well as weighing. I am hoping to see the weigh drop a bit but overall I do care more about how I look than how much I weigh! I have a little more to loose than you had so maybe the numbers on the scale will come down a bit!

You're pictures really are a inspiration! Thank you for posting.

    All the best with P90X!!

Thank you so much! So far so good with P90x. Yes, I did do the entire rotation once before starting Ripped in 30. I was really bent on sticking to the schedule and did with the exception taking one extra day off when my son was sick...but other than that, I stuck with it. It was rough though lol! And thank you for the add....it really helps me stay accountable when I know someones watching

He he! I'll be watching you and you can watch me  Glad to hear that you had a good start with P90X! I'll start the Slimdown routine today! My plan is too also do the Ripped in 30 afterwards! Hopefully my results will be nearly as amazing as yours!

All the best and keep pushing play

Hi guys, sorry havent posted in a week.

Ive being doing ok with both 6W6P and C25K. Ive just started 6W6P level 2 and found it alot harder than level 1, but will keep at it (As im sure I found level 1 hard in the first week too).

Im on week 3 of C25K and not sure if I will manage week 4 as seems quite a jump up so might repeat week 3.

Dixie - wowie - you look fab. Im going to send you a friend request (if you dont mind). Im trying to get fit before we go down the baby route and then hopefully I can bounce back easier.

What you doing today Daisy? Im doing C25K with my sister and hopefully 6W6P (depending on time).xxx

    Hello

I can imagine that level 2 of 6W6P is hard! I am now doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Slimdown routine. I like it a lot so far. I have started another thread for it. It's called 30 Day Slimdown. You can come and join if you fancy. I few ladies there and we check in more or less every day!

How is the C25K? I have started C10K in the past and really liked it!

Thank you Helen, that sounds like a great plan. I was in decent shape before my son and it was a goal after having him to return to my pre-baby weight before I even thought about having another one. Now that I'm back in shape, we've been thinking about planning a second baby. I feel like I will bounce back much easier this time around, and intend to keep doing my workouts for as long as possible throughout pregnancy (but with modifications of course lol) I wish you the best of luck in preparing for that little one...they're worth every pound and every stretch mark!

    Morning guys.

I managed 6W6P and C25K last night. Ive done 6W6P this morning too. Lost 1.6lb this week (after being at a stand still for a little while).

    Thanks for the motivation.
