So yesterday I was driving along eating a baggie of cashews that I had very carefully measured out to be one ounce. I saddly dropped one on the floor of the car, and spent several seconds wondering how I could safely get my cashew off the floor while driving. I could not bear the thought of missing out on that one cashew since it had already been included in my calories for the day.

What food have you been willing to go to great lenghths to save?

(by the way, no accidents - decided I should probably live without it)

Peanut butter M&Ms. I can dole out 18 for a serving and so help my kids if they snatch one of mine. ;-)

I once saved an ice cream cone at the cost of a skinned knee. My dad applauded. I'd probably do similar for my coffee and chocolate. Possibly cherries and strawberries, too, mostly because they're so expensive.
