I'm 37, Male starting weight was 378 in January. My current weight is 330 and holding.
I started dieting in January of this year. About a month in I began riding a bicycle for exercise. The weight was falling off and although the lifestyle change was harder than anything I have done, seeing the weight drop off weekly made it tolerable.
In April, I bought an exercise bike and started lifting weights...The weight continued to come off. Suddenly, the last week of May I thought I had hit a plateau because the scale wouldn't budge. Unfortunately, the scale hasn't budged since. About two weeks ago, I decided to drop lifting weights in favor of doing cardio 5 days a week. I rode my exercise bike 20 mins a day Tuesday and Thursday, and power walk / semi jog Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The scale still will not move. I becoming so frustrated with this.
A little more info, I eat about 2100-2600 calories a day Monday through Saturday and on Sunday I take off. I don't go completely crazy, but I have done this from the beginning and it has helped me cope with struggling with the cravings.
I don't know if this factors in, but about the same time the scale quit moving I started drinking monster energy drinks. They were the zero sugar, zero carb variety, so I have completely ignored that being a possibility as to why my weight loss has stopped.
I push myself in my workouts seriously to the point of passing out, and have increasingly pushed myself as it gets easier. I am very dedicated to losing weight, as in the past I have tried several times and failed. I do not want to fail again, and am looking for help in figuring out my dilemma. Any help, or insight would be so appreciated!

Stop the monster drinks and see if you start losing again. It's quite possible - you never know how your body will react to certain things (especially things that are made from mostly chemicals).
For me - I have a wonderful recipe for peanut butter protein balls. Yummy, high protein - great recipe. The problem... when I eat them, my weight loss stalls (not for any reason - it fits within my calorie range, etc.). I don't eat them, my weight drops again. I've chosen to omit them from my diary until it's time to maintain.0 -
I would switch to coffee. And definitely make sure you're getting enough water because lack of water can hinder weight loss (at least from what I've heard and experienced).0

Maybe cut back a little on the cheat day. I know it helps you the rest of the week but you don't want to sabotage all your hard work in one day. I would give up the drinks too. They have so many chemicals in them your body doesn't know what to do with them. Stick to water.0

Open up your diary so we can see what your intake looks like.0
