Hi, I am new to myfitnesspal. My sister encouraged me to join as she has found it very helpful on her weightloss journey. I am looking to lose about 45 lbs and could use any encouragment and tips you all have to offer.

    Welcome and Good Luck.
    Educate yourself on healthy eating and recipes. There are so many sites, just google it.
    Take it slow and Try to stay away from processed and fast foods. Cook as close to natural as you can and watch PORTIONS. Buy a food scale, I use mine everyday. Drink lots of water. Lots of fresh veggies and fruits, low carb whole grain breads, pasta and rice. Fresh lean meats and fish, beans. If you use canned foods get no sodium. Did I say PORTION CONTROL!
