Hi, I would love input from those of you who have had your body fat proffessionally measured. I have typed my stats into online calculators and they give me a range of over 20% difference. If anyone knows their body fat percentage and feels like typing their stats into some online calculators to see which one is accuarate and then post the link here I would be very gratefull! I have nowhere to go to get an actual measurment done(not that I know how they go about doing that).

I use a fat loss monitor made by Omron, which gives me pretty consistent readings. Honestly, I don't know how accurate it is, but I'm happy with it. You can get it on Amazon for about $25.0

You can go to your local gym and ask for a trainer to give you a body % test. They will measure your skin in a bunch of differant places.0

I live in a town of 600 people. Local gym has posters on the wall in place of trainers. LOL I am about 150km from any larger town or city. That is why I am relying on the internetz.0

online bodyfat calculators are pretty accurate, unless you have been lifting weight and you have muscle density to account for, then your measurements would be best done with calipers. Otherwise, it will be pretty close with the calculators.0

heres the site i use. it asks for a few body measurements which makes me think its a little more accurate than a height/weight bmi calculator. hope it helps

I own a pair of accumeasure caliprs and my body fat is 19% These sites were the closest to getting my percent correct, but it might be worth getting a pair of calipers to measure accurately.

Same here. It's been the closest to the caliper tests I've had done.0 -

went to this site to test it out, and according to its required measurements my results were 14.2% body fat... and again, with use of calipers im19% so this site placed me grossly under my actual percent. only proves my point that online calculators will not be your best choice in measurement0 -
I have had my body fat tested at my chiropractic office using a bioimpedance device. He did not even charge me for this.
This article says that Tanita has developed a scale that can test your body fat using bioimpedance. no idea how much this would cost, but I bet Amazon has it.
