Sniffles after running?!

I live in South Africa and right now its winter...that is why I am confused as to why after I run I have allergy like symptoms...sniffles, sneezing...any other reason as to why this would happen or is it allergies?! What can i do to help it?

    Hmmmmm. Well here where I live its summertime and I still get a runny nose sometimes after running. I'm no Dr. or expert but I do think it is allergies and sinuses. However I could only imagine how much worse it would be in the wintertime. My suggestion? Keep your immune system in A-1. Take in vitamin C to the max along with a great multivitamin and fuel your body well. Congrats on running in the wintertime, that is great!! :smile:

    The extra blood pumping around your body also stimulates the sinus cavity. It happens to me too and it doesn't matter what time of the year it is :happy:

    If you have really really chilli hot food a similar effect occurs.

    If it's sneezing and allergy like symptoms beyond the simple runny nose, it could be that the stimulation is setting off your allergic response?
