Daily sugar intake

Hi all.
I have been reading the post about MFP daily allowances (protein)
and have an issue staying anywhere close to the sugar allowance.
If I eat a banana and almost any other food, my sugar totals are
blown for the day. I thought our bodies dealt with natural sugars
more effectively than synthetic sugars. Shouldnt eating fruit be a
really good thing? I find I am eating LESS of it just to keep my
allowances in balance.

I'm struggling with the same thing :( Almost all of my sugar is healthy sugar from fresh fruit, and I'm getting frustrated that I can't stay within the allowance

Hello. I have the same problem with the sugar especially when I eat any type of fruit. I'm not sure what to do here either because I love fruit and I really don't want to eat less of it. Is it affecting your weight loss at all? I am kind of stuck right now. Not gaining but now losing which makes me wonder because I am jogging 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes and this is my second week doing it and I think I only lost .6 pounds. Maybe it is because I go over my sugar pretty muuch everyday?? Good luck!

Me too. I am still losing though and thinking maybe I won't track my sugar anymore. What I don't know won't hurt me, right? LOL

I have the same issue. I stay in line with carbs, fat, sodium, protein, but it's impossible for me to not go over on sugar. I love strawberries, grapes and oranges, and will not give up healthy fruit to stay within that boundary. I feel like the benefits of the fiber, vitamins and antioxidants are worth the natural sugars.
