Okay peeps at my wits end. when i first stated out (before mfp) between sept and dec i lost 40 pounds.
since jan. i have been more or less stuck (bouncing between a 5-8 pound margin)
and since i last measured when up a couple inchest (total counting two areas) so its not the scale lying i am getting fatter
found this site thought being organized would help. nope
tried everything and cannot lose any more weight.
have recently had blood work all was good (except blood sugar still a wee high 100)

would like any and all suggestions 'healthy ' or 'unhealthy.

    Current weight?
    Activity level?
    Daily calories consumed?
    Diet method?
    Cardio?
    Strength Training?

If you made your food diary public it would be easier to give advice.

I agree. I believe that most of the answers will be found in what you are eating, how much and how often.

I am 48 years old. I have yo yo'd the same 2 pounds for a couple of years. I started getting serious about this 45 days ago. I have lost 9 lbs and went from a size 12 to a size 8. I have lost inches. I am really watching my sodium and sugar intake, in addition to a low fat diet. I have started walking/running on the treadmill, usually 5 days a week. You might consider opening up your diary - so we can look at it. We might be able to provide some insight into what is going on for you.

I think it's harder to lose after 40, but not impossible. Don't give up - you just might need to make some adjustments to get going in the right direction again! Friend me if you want.

Hey I dont know what the levels for bs is in the states but if it is high then you need to control and count your carbs which is sooooo easy on mfp. Lower then to 45 per day which is a great 3 cups of salad and veggies and dressing . No reduced caloric foods as they have lots of carb. Treat yourself as insulin resistant , eat protein and lower lyour carbs. m

Your food intake looks pretty good actually. You are at a deficit most days, but so am I usually. To rev up my metabolism, I try to change that up occasionally by going over my calorie count. Sometimes it just needs a kick to get it started again. I also try to get in a big breakfast. Some people don't believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but I'm a believer after losing 10 pounds in 3 weeks after making breakfast my largest meal of the day. I try to get in at least 1/3 of my caloric intake. Nothing else changed in my routine, including the amount of exercise I was doing.

The only other suggestion I can see to improve what you are doing now is to try and sneak in a couple fruits each day. Veggies look good... but I would still try to add at least one dark green leafy veggie too.

Feel free to friend me if you would like more suggestions in a week or two. Keep logging all of your food. That will really help you see where improvements can be made!
