How much does dirt weigh??!!!

Well, I noticed something interesting the last two weeks; I usually weigh myself first thing in the morning after I've brushed my teeth, but BEFORE I shower. For whatever reason, last week I decided to weigh myself before AND after my shower and I weighed 4 ounces less after the shower. And the same thing happened when I weighed-in this week... I also noticed I weigh less after swimming for an hour, and that difference is much more noticeable; a pound and a half!!!
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this???.... :noway:

That is why I only weigh myself at the same time every day...first thing after I use the restroom when I wake up in the morning and use that as my weight.
You shouldn't weigh yourself more than that. Your weight will fluctuate for many reasons. Swimming will dehydrate you so that is why you weigh less. I also weigh less after a run but that is because I need to hydrate.0 -
C'mon... fess up. You peed in the shower and the pool, didn't you?0

I've seen the same thing. I shower in the morning too. I use the restroom, weigh, shower and then for funzies weigh again after my shower and I can be up to a half pound less after my shower. Not sure what it is. I didn't put much weight (ha ha pun...) into it and didn't think about it much, but now that I've seen someone else do it too, maybe it's just normal0

Dirt weighs less than muscle and more than fat.0

I've noticed this myself (and no, I don't pee in the shower, and no, I'm not *that* dirty. Some of it may be water loss through sweat in a hot shower, but my theory is that most of it is due to the shower warming up the bathroom, and hence the scales. Bathroom scales are generally calibrated to give the right weight at 20C, but probably give a lower weight if it's warmer (due to expansion of metal in springs, etc) and a higher weight if it's colder.0

Thanks for the input! (Especially the funny ones  )0

I always thought I would weigh more after my shower, because I've got tons of hair that would be weighed down with water.
But I've noticed that I seem to weigh less, too.0 -

Its to do with the gravitational pull on the Earth when the Sun aligns with Jupiter.
Well its as plausible as anything else.0 -
