New to the board, but not to the site. Sadly, I have only been using the website to log my weight loss. I know I should be logging my meals and exercises, but I keep pushing it off. I have been keeping it in the back of my mind to start doing that if I ever hit a wall and cant lose any weight for a few weeks.
Here's my story...I had a nasty infection in my bowels a few months ago and quickly dropped 21 LBs. I then started a 1700-2000 calories per day diet and a super tough exercise plan. Tomorrow will make a full 70 days in a row working out. In those 10 weeks, I have lost an additional 28 lbs. Just as important for me, I have trimmed my time in the 3 mile from 60 minutes to under 47. A key for me to go to the gym each day is that I have something to measure each day. I am a data freak, so I have seven different exercises I track weekly. They are:
Sat - whats my time in a 3 mile run/walk
Sun - How many times can I curl 55 lbs before failure
Mon - How many times can I military press 50 times before failure
Tues - what's my time in a 2 mile run/walk
Wed - sit-ups in one minute
Thur - 1 mile run
Fri - How many times can I bench 75 lbs before failure
Those tests are part of a 60-90 minute session each day. I try to do a healthy mix of weight lifting and cardio 5 days per week, with cardio only the other two.
Like I said, I have been pretty good on staying between 1700-2000 calories. But I basically eat anything other than sweets. I am thinking of doing some kind of tougher, specific diet in the month of July to see where it gets me. I believe I can follow anything for four weeks, so I am checking out the board for details about a good one to attempt.
