edited September 2024 in Introduce Yourself
Hi, I am fairly new her to MFP. I started about 3 weeks ago. I have recently started lurking on the message boards, and thought that it was time to introduce myself.

I am 44 years old and from Nashville, TN. I have fought my weight for over 20 years now. I have tried many different diets over the years, but always quit and gained all the weight back. This time, I want to do it the right way by watching my calories and exercise.

I recently put on 20 pounds very quickly. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant through IVF. We went through 2 rounds of IVF drugs, and each time I put on 7 or 8 pounds. (I hate the drug Lupron...it puts weight on me very quickly. I would put on 5 or 6 pounds within 5 days each time I started the drug). We actually got pregnant on our second round of IVF. I put on about 5 pounds in the first 8 weeks...the only time I had morning sickness was when I got hungry, so I was eating all the time. Unfortunately, we miscarried at 8 weeks.

We still have one embryo frozen and my IVF doctor told us we can try again when we are emotionally ready. We have decided to wait a bit before making our final try. I want to at least lose the 20 pounds that I put on during the first tries. We will probably wait until after the first of the year, so I would really like to lose a lot more that that before starting the process again.

Anyway, I am glad to be a part of this community. The support that I have seen on these message boards is just wonderful.

Never deprive yourself of the foods you love just eat them im moderation and bring out those measuring cups if you need to. Stay hydrated drink lots of water and make sure you get in your excersize!!! Hang in the hun you can do this ;)
