Hi everyone,

I started 30 day shred 6 days ago. Today I noticed a difference and could keep up. On a normal week (my mum is on holiday so this week is off for me) my exercise will be

Curves circuit training 3 times a week (calorie burn about 380)
30 day shred 7 times a week
walking dog 4 times a week(roughly 1/2 hour 139)

I have set my lifestyle to sedantry as a SAHM and home educator and don't bother logging houswork etc.

My question is I would like to embark on another exercise the 3 days a week I am not at curves (the curves system is set up for 3x a week and if you go more often the curves smart slows your exercise). I have looked at exercisetv and found things like bootcamp for beginners aerobics routine.

Am I going about this the right way? It just feels like the 20 mins from the shred is not really enough...maybe I am wrong .My diary is set to open for advice please.

I put on 3 1/2 stone after quitting smoking. I actually joined curves last November but had only 8lb weight loss so my hubby found this site and I have just seriously started tackling my weight issue last 2 weeks or so.

I also gave up coke on monday after drinking 1-2 litres a day since I was 18. Now its water and gren tea.

i think you have made some pretty significant changes... especially with giving up the coke :) if you feel that you should do more, you know your body just dont over do it and hurt yourself.

If you're not feeling tired or sore from these workouts, go ahead and do some more.

I recommend a yoga program, it keeps you flexible, builds strength, and it's more of a workout than you think.( When I started I would have a nice little puddle of sweat) but I would feel like my posture improved from just a few sessions.

I like the yoga suggestion! It will indeed increase your flexibility and also your core (abs and back) strength.

You could also consider adding some jogging intervals to your dog walks. Most dogs (and yours appear to be large, based on your avatar) love a bit of running and they'll barely be at a trot while you're running. You do have to be mindful of the heat, as you know, since the dog can't adequately cool himself though.
