Ladies Weight Loss Goals

I'm thinking my original goal weight of 130 pounds is not realistic. I originally came up with that number because in high school I was 145 and had several jiggly parts and I thought with eating right and exercising 130 would be reasonable.

The pounds aren't coming off as easily now though I'm still loosing inches. I'm 31 years old, 5'6" and I'm doing Turbo Fire for my workout plan. As far as food goes I'm making the best choices I can with the food we have. No money makes it difficult to have super healthy foods available all the time.

Advice, comments...anyone...anyone...Buller?

It's not an absolute, why don't you go for 145 again, and reevaluate when you get there?

I am also 5'6". My goal is 150 which would put me in a healthy, no longer over- weight range. Way back, a million years ago I weighed about 130 and was super skinny. I would love to be that size again, but am not sure if that is a realistic goal. I may be able to get there, but I don't think I could stay at that weight and maintain. The doc said 150 is a good goal, so I will go for that then see what happens.

Well I am 5'4 and my goal is 122 I am at 129 now and I don't think I will ever get there! I guess maybe as far as advice goes I would say eat smaller portions and maybe up your cardio! I know its hard just keep doing your best to make the right choices! Good luck!

Honestly I don't have a goal weight. I have a goal size! Before I had my oldest son I was in a loose size 7. Not sure what that would make me in weight range. Whatever you decide remember its not going to come off in a couple months. You can do it though! If you need more motivation from a friend feel free to add me I am in the same boat!

Ha funny, I'm 31, 5 ft. 6 in and my goal weight is 130-135. I'm 145 right now and while my top half is fairly toned, my butt/hips are still just as jiggly as ever. Even at my lowest adult weight, my problem area is my butt, hips and thighs. When I graduated highschool I was 114 and shortly after I joined the Army. After basic training I was around 130, and was at my most fit stage in life. THAT is what i'm looking to get back to. The number doesn't truly matter to me but I get stuck on it because I know what I weighed at that point. I am slowly getting there, losing about a pound every 1.5 weeks.

But it's not really about how much you weigh, it's about how much fat you actually have on your body. I've seen the term "skinny fat" mentioned on here and that's exactly what I was when I was 114. Super skinny, but mostly fat. Not what I want to be!!

When you have a smaller amount of weight to lose, it's going to be more difficult than someone who has to lose 100 pounds. Keep doing what you're doing, and just see how it goes.

don't put extra pressure on yourself, just allow your body to find it's perfect weight. Your food diary is excellent! I commend you on that! You should be proud of yourself for making the changes you're making!

I'm 5'6" too and 130 was my goal as well. I'm about 7lbs from there (though after last night it's probably more like 17, lol), though I feel like I'll never get there. I'm mostly just focusing on toning for now, I want to get rid of these last jiggly areas and tighten up. I think it's less about the number on the scale and more about how I feel--the number I care about is the clothing size, lol! If I can get to a point where I'm happy with how I look, I don't care if it's 130 or 150 as long as I look good :)

i'm 5'6" and my "healthy" goal is 152 according to all the charts. i'm pretty muscular already and i have a very large frame, so i'm not even sure that the 150's are possible for me. my lowest weight was 185 in high school when i played sports and my hip bones stuck out, so i'll see what happens when i get in the 180's again....

Mine is 99lbs (cos I'm only 5'1") but I'll never know if I get there or not because I refuse to go by weight anymore, I've lost 10 years of my life obsessing about it and bouncing between 80 and 130lbs.

I just want to look skinny but toned now and wear size 6-8.
