 i just wondered how many are out there who cant do much excercise like me.Physical problems hold me back and also my job is sedenatary. However i have made up my mind that this is no excuse. The key to success is within your own mind and where there is a will there is a way even if it takes longer i deserve it.also any of you out there close to retirement like me i have 5 years left thanks to our government policies being moved.

I am able to do most exercise but have chosen to start with low impact exerecise. I have found that Aquafit is much better exercise than most people realize. Many of the people in my class are older or have injuries that limit there exerecise. We all go at our own pace. I have really toned up and the water is a gentle but very effective resistance trainer. Whatever your situation do not anything hold you back!

I'm 61 and my current routine is: 30 min. elliptical, 15 min. treadmill and 30 min weight training 5 to 7 days a week. Two or three times a week I spend a half hour in the pool at the gym as my reward to myself.
The cardio gives me an average of 280 exercise calories, which I eat back. I've been on MFP since Memorial Day. Its too soon for my progress to be noticeable, since I am over 200 pounds. I know that I will stick with it and some day see ONEderland and beyond.
In January I hope to negotiate to go part time at work. Then I can go to the gym in the afternoon instead of 4:30.

Well done! My Mum used the 'Too old' excuse for a while but now enjoys going to the gym doing aqua and easy line (line dancing I think) plus some gentle box fit. She was turning into a little old lady full of aches and pains but is much better now
