Going over?

So, normally I don't go over my calories at all but due to alcohol and then the alcohol induced munchies and hangover food I have went around 500kcal over this weekend.
Just wondering if anyone knows how this will affect my weight loss? I won't suddenly gain back what I lost this week (3lbs) if I get back on track tomorrow will I?

It takes about 3500 additional calories to gain a pound so unless your overconsumption was in excess of that you should not have a problem. IF you do gain it will most likey be fluid since your alcohol induced munching was probably some salty foods (if I am recalling my alcohol-inducing munchie days). Simply drink PLENTY of water (since alcohol dehydrates you combined with the salty food your body will probably be retaining a good bit of fluid), get 100% back on track as soon as possible. forgive yourself, and keep it moving. We have to have room for an OCCASIONAL off day without beating ourselves up. Focus on your long-term goals and remember this is not just about a day in the grand scheme of things; this is a lifetime journey and a lifetime of carrots and water all the time is pretty boring. You can do it!!!0

No. It would take regular going over your calorie allotment to gain weight. I have a day every now and again where I drink too much or eat too many calories and as long as I am good the rest of the week, I continue to regularly lose weight.
Just for example, one day two weeks ago, we had a party for work and I drank a bunch of those frozen drinks that have like a million calories in them and beer and we ate finger food and all this c***. I ate almost 3,000 calories that day between that party and my regular food earlier in the day. I did not gain weight that week. In fact, I lost.
So, it is a cumulative thing. You will be fine to let go and eat or drink alot every once in a while. Frankly, I'd encourage it because completely depriving yourself of pleasure sucks.0
