Never thought I would hear THAT, in my life.

So I just finished doing level 1 of the 30 Day Shred without weights. I am sweating like crazy, which is quite abnormal for me, so I went downstairs to tell my sister. She was being quite nonchalant saying, "so?"

I suggested that she does it too, but mostly I was just excited to share this with her. But then she says I am being selfish.

She is saying that I am putting my exercises and things above all else, and that I am not helping out enough at work (we work for my parents but I'm there all day whereas she comes only in the evening) and at home.

This could not be further from the truth. I am work all day during the week, and of course I cannot exercise then. She's at her own work all day and doesn't come to the family business until dinner time.

I am just so frustrated!

Sounds like jealously to me. You have made a choice to better yourself and she is not quite there. It's a shame she can't be generally happy and supportive of you.

IMO, you should just not inform her of your success, find other people you can share it with that will be happy for you. If you know you are not slacking at work, then don't pay her any mind..

    GOOD LUCK!!

It's time for you to be selfish (in a way). It is time to take care of you. You are making an effort trying to gain her support and trying to get her to join you. If she doesn't want to, she will. She will see that you will gain confidence, start looking better and maybe she will then join you. But for now, take care of you and still be that supporting sister. As all change comes resistance, in some ways or another!

She has always been lighter than me, and she did recently gain a little bit...of course she is good 10 pounds lighter (we're the same height) but I guess that could be it.
