Do the Jillian Michael's Jump Start Pills work?

Before I go spend money on them has anyone used the Jillian Michael's jump start system? I just don't want to do anything harmful and I certainly don't have the money to waste. I was just wondering if there's a reason to use something to help me lose the weight and then it will be easier to maintain. Any advice? I'm new to this whole health/nutrition/weight loss stuff.

I don't recommend taking any kind of "diet" pill, but that is just my personal opinion. Stick to your calorie counts (with nutritional foods) and exercise and you'll jumpstart your body enough.... good luck!0

Diet pills often do more harm than good. Why risk heart, kidney or liver damage? Count your cals, start learning portion control, drink your water, work out, and lose weight in an intelligent and healthy manner.
Remember, the only ones that benefit from diet pills are the manufacturers/marketers. It's a HUGE industry.... and they're the ones benefitting from it, not the dieter. Because if it REALLY worked, no one would be overweight.0 -
I agree with the other posters regarding diet pills. They benefit the people making money in that industry. I did look at the ingredient list for this one, http://www.dietsinreview.com/diets/jillian-michaels-14-day-cleanse-and-burn/
One thing I noticed is that it has bitter orange, an alternative to ephedra, which was taken off the market due to safety concerns, but it has some of the same effects, such as speeding up your heart rate and raising your blood pressure...not good.
Here's a Mayo Clinic article about bitter orange:

There's also a probiotic component. Personally, if I were you, I'd spend the money on a probiotic supplement (or just eat some yogurt!) and forget the Jillian Michaels system. That's just my 2 cents.0 -
I've been thru all the pills and even perscription pills. Then after being sent to a cardiologist, I started reading and found I needed to change my life. I guess you can say this is the way I want to eat and exercise now. Just my lifestyle and I am very happy now and don't think all the negative things about myself. So....IMHO nope don't go there
And she is raking in the bucks now off the show with all her different products and books. Good grief.0
