9/9/1997 - Open heart surgery/aortic valve replacement/repair of aneurysmal dilitation of ascending aorta, 9/21/1997 - First confirmed stroke, 8/3/2009 - Fourth confirmed stroke, followed by six weeks on a walker and three more months on a cane, 6/26/2011 - First 5K, completed in 54:38. I DID IT!!!!
