finding exercise/calories burned on MFP?

I am slightly new here-I couldn't find a way to log some of my exercises into the database. For instance I ran at 6.8 MPH, 8.0 MPH and walked uphill at 4.2, but couldn't figure out a way to log that. Does anyone have advice? Also as far as weight training is concerned, does it just lump everything together?
Thanks-I just want to start this off correctly!

Just do whatever is the closest to your exercise. When I run, I just do a variation of speeds so I just put in Run @ 5.2 mph and let it calculate for me. Strength training is just a broad guesstimate.
As of recent, I purchased a heart rate monitor; when you start really getting into it, I definitely suggest you invest in one if you're serious about fitness!0
