Hip measurements?

Okay, so I'm hoping I'm making sense here... I'm about 89 lbs away from my goal so I got a ton of fat on my hips. I don't really know what the smallest jean size I can get into when I shed all this weight so I went and measured the distance between my hip bones and added an extra inch cuz the sides are prolly wider than the front I measured. Anyway, so it came out to 17 inches. For those who are able to do this (less fat in the front for accurate measurements, or if you are at your goal even better) what is the distance between your hips and your lowest pant size? I'm 5'9 with a large frame and I know at 170 I was able to wear an 11 but I was still about 10lbs overweight and that's before I had a kid.

10 lbs is about two dress sizes. So if you were size 11 at 170 at 160 maybe a size 9.

I don't feel like measuring what you are talking about lol but my hips are 35 inches (35-25-35 measurements). I'm 5'7" and I wear a size 3. I feel like anyone can get down to any size if they want. It has nothing to do with the distance that your hip bones are apart. It's just weather or not it is healthy. I have a friend who is 5'10" and she wears a size 1, so it's possible, but I'm assuming you could realistically get down to a size 7 or 9 and be very happy with that your body looks like.

There are a lot of girls on here who are 5'5", and they weigh more than I do and they have smaller hip and waist measurements. It all comes down to the measurements.

So measure yourself for real! lol

that sounds like too much work. just measure the way you are now (all the way around) and go down from there. I'm currently 136 and fit into a size 8. When i was 139-141 I was a 10. My hips are 39inches right now in my size 8. Try not to make this too complicated. Just go one inch at at time until you feel healthy and fit.
