Hey
I've put on 4lbs.... I'm eating badly but not eating over my maintenance which I think is 1700.....(not overly sure though)... i'm drinking more water than I was (I was having 1 cup a day and now drinking 2L+) I exercised 4times last week where usually I might exercise once...
Any ideas? What should I do?
.......... apart from cut out the **** I've been eating which I know I have to do!!!

If I knew I would be doing it too!! Not working for me either....:grumble:
I am planning for this week - no treats - i.e. dont eat what I know I shouldnt be, so no soreen for me, up my water levels and just stick at the gym. I am thinking I might mix it up a bit more and try spinning again this week....
I feel your pain hun.... maybe we can do a week challenge this week?0 -
I was putting on weight on a little less than what most sites said my maintenance level was...I tried for 4 months...12lbs on in 4 months made me realise my suggested maintenance calories were WAY OFF. Not sure how long you've been trying, if its recent give it a few weeks, but if you've been doing it for a while now cut the junk and play around with your calories, paying particular attention to your salt and sugar levels0

Sadly, (& I dislike being the bearer of bad news) It's not just about how much you eat but what you eat too. The quality of our calories is very important. A little more fresh produce, a little less processed food should do the trick. Also, with your carbs try and switch over to brown ones when you do eat them (brown, rice, bread, pasta etc)0

your body can get used to the same excercise if you do it all the time to, maybe try switch it up? I know that certainly worked for me.0

I had a look at your diary. I agree, it's not just about how much you eat, but what you eat too. For example, your fats and sugars are very high. And they're not the good fats and sugars as obtained by fruits, vegetables and protein. They're trans fats and processed sugars. You need to start swopping foods. For example, dump the special K bars. Ask yourself how processed are these foods and read the labels. Quite simply, if you can't pronounce the word, don't bother eating it. Eat lots and lots of water rich fruits and vegetables and get your fats from oily fishes and fruits like avocado's.
I wish you all the best!0
