After having my son on 10/29/10 via c-section, and breastfeeding for only 4 months the lowest i was able to get down to was 181. 8lbs away from my prepregnancy weight... I was almost there!!! Now this was a BIG accompishment seeing as how it too my 4 years to get back to my original weight with my DD. ( I would also like to point out that the whole reason that I lost the weight was because we were thinking about ttc. ) Then.... he was admitted to the hospital for failure to thrive, and i felt like a failure as a mom. So, what did I do? Ate myself to oblivion, anout 3000 calories a day. Naturally, I put on weight. About 15 pounds.
I had already been using MFP, but with no real regularity. When my daughter told me one day that she wanted to have a belly like mine, and my husband was asking me if I was still even attracted to him anymore because we were no longer being intimate, I thought, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!! So, I began loggin on every day, (the good, the bad, and the UGLY) and exercising here and there when I could get some time in.
I am VERY happy to say, that this morning when I was gearing up for my weekly weigh in, I jumped on the scale and saw 183.0. This ws pretty good seeing as how I had a HORRIBLE week. SO I went outside to smoke a butt, and realized I still had on my husbands sweatpants, and I hadn't gone to the bathroom yet. So, I took care of some business, and jumped back on the scale. 181.7 my MFP peeps!!!! I am now back on track to shedding the baby weight and only have 8 lbs to get to get back to my prepregnancy weight!
Super happy this morning! Thank you for taking the time to share in my little NSV for the month! You are all amazing!

Good for you Momma! I am happy for you!! Although neither of my daughters were admitted to the hospital I found out with both of them around month 5 that my breast milk wasn't enough and they had both lost weight. I felt like a failure as well, that I had been starving my children and that I wasn't enough and that was when we had to start with formula. I am sorry you had to go through that but so glad you are back on track!0
