HI I just signed up for MFP..I am currently a WW member and gaining not losing for the pass 4 weeks..So discouraged..So I thought I might try this..I need HELP..I want to lose 25lbs..I work out, track eat what I am suppose to and can't seem to drop any weight! Looking for advice & motivation!

    Hi and welcome.
    Just fill in the blanks when you sign up. I went for 1 pound per week loss. I followed the calorie recommendations, excercised (my choice is an elliptical machine - you can use whatever activity you want), tried to cut out a lot of the really bad food (fatty, sugary, salty, processed etc) and I made it to my goal much faster than I expected. My wife was on WW also and did not have much luck with it. A *lot* of people on WW experienced gains from what I hear. I figured *I* would just base my plan on calories and that is how my wife found this site - looking for a good calorie-counting tool.

    We both learned that our portions had been way to large. After cutting back, your stomach gets used to not having as much food in it and then you need less to feel full. Another thing we learned is to not go for long periods of time without eating. Just by eating healthy snacks between meals, you don't get as hungry and don't tend to overeat. (We snack on fruit and yogurt) Also, drinking water helps keep you fuller and helps flush out stuff as well as hydrate your body.
    Anyway, good luck on your goals. You can do it!
