About 2 years ago I was clearing out my closet and I found these old pants that I use to wear when I was in my 20s. I am now 36. For fun I tried to put them on. No luck what so ever. The button wasn't even close to touching. Sucked in my gut, did everything I could think of and I couldn't even get the them to meet. I would say that I got them to about 2 inches apart with me pushing on my stomach.
Well, that same year I compete in my very first half marathon. During the training I lost weight as one would think. So for fun once again, I pulled out those pants and yes I was able to button them up but dear lord, I couldn't move. They were so tight at the waist I thought if I took a deep breath I would rip them. So off they go and back into the closet.
Well time went on, I got married and gained some “happy weight” and I decided it was time to lose that. So I have been on MFP for about 12 weeks or so, and I have lost about 15 lbs. So once again, the pants come out of the closet. DING DING DING! They not only button up, they fit perfectly. In fact I decided to wear them to work today. They don’t fit tight at all. Walking, sitting, bending over….no problem at all.
I can't believe that I am back to the size I was when I was about 25-27. Hmm…maybe my next goal should be to get back to my college years...haha
