Sugar free cupcakes

Ok, does anybody on here know how the sugar free products affect carbs? One of the girls I work with is always making cupcakes and bring them into work and I always turn them down. Well, this morning she brought in sugar free cupcakes! She found Pilsbury brand sugar free cupcake mix and frosting and she thought of me and made them. So of course I couldn't turn one down. I just went to log it and the frosting shows carbs but not the cake. That doesn't make sense and I want to be truthful in my logging, so does anyone know? Thanks!

Yes, thank you all so much for the info! You guys are great! Now, one more question when it says 29 carbs, iis that really true carbs or do I deduct for fiber and sugar alcohols or just one or the other or not at all? Other wise do I really count all 29 carbs?

Depends on the diet you are trying to follow. Some diets say you can deduct the fiber from the carbs. The diet I am on is the Duken Diet and I can only have 24 carbs period, no deductions.

    Was the cupcake tasty?

Yes, it was! I hadn't had a cupcake or cake in so long! I am diabetic and trying to cut my carbs for sugar control.

Being a diabetic is no joke. I have an uncle that is in the hospital right as I type. He didn't follow the diet his doctor said he should for years. He has complete kidney failure. I don't know if those cupcakes are good for you to eat to often, but they are definitely a better option. Good luck with your health and fitness goals!
