P90X - no changes, getting discouraged.

Okay, okay. So I know people say 'don't focus on the scale, focus on inches and how you feel.' I'm approaching day 60 and while I do feel more tone, muscular, and I do feel a little better about myself, I'm barely losing inches or weight. So far I've lost 2 pounds. My diet isn't 100% following the P90x diet becaue some day's it's just too hard, but I've definitley cut back on sugar, fat, monitored my carbohydrate intake, and increased my protein signifiantly. So far out of the 55 days I've been following the program, I've only missed 2 days which is dedication in my opinion.

Someone mentioned maybe I'm intaking too much protein since protein is usually used to bulk up. Could this be the case? I know more protein than average is needed do the the strength training in P90x, but could 1 shake and/or a protein bar be too much? Would it be worthwhile to finish out the first 90 days of classic and then try the lean version?

Any thoughts or opinions on this would be appreciated!

The biggest changes for me personally, and others I have spoken with, came between days 60-90.

Finish out the first 90 days doing Classic, then switch to Lean. I wouldn't switch now.

Looking at your food diary. You could try upping your calories a bit. You hover very close to the 1200 mark when you figure in your exercise. Just a quick thought. Don't get discouraged now. You are so close.

Definitely don't worry about the increased protein. Just consuming protein will not make you gain muscle.
