I don't understand why someone would turn down the opportunity for more encouragement, but some people just don't appreciate what they are being offered. Everyone who has requested to be my friend usually sends me a little message with it. I appreciate all the support I can get. I like hearing comments from men too because sometimes they have a different view of cardio or lifting and can help you to try something new out in your workout

Damn!! I make one little cleavage remark and I'm singled out for a time out.

Poor Road Dog, I enjoy reading your comments. ;-)

I have far more lady friends here then men but the guys I do have are cool and fun and just as supportive of the ladies as they are each other.
Sure there is some flirting and teasing back and forth but doesn`t take away from what great true friends they all are.

Carl, your a true freind and a great flirt.

Well you were warned not to numb your hand too much
  • Aww, that's a shame the guy feels like he has to put that on his profile.

It is understandable that some people prefer to not to add members of the opposite sex, but only half the guys on here are sexual deviants

Honestly, i have male and female friends and there is a little flirting and teasing, but nothing creepy or over the top. I've accepted every request and if i felt like we weren't really helping eachother, or i felt uncofortable, i'd just hit the delete button. No big deal.

I have seen those complaints as well. I'm just a really crappy friend IRL and online so...... *trailing off* Yeah, I'm not so supportive.

LOL - Was that on my before picture?

    Haha your cracking me up...
I have male and female friends I enjoy. I notice that my male friends are more tough love, I appreciate that. The girls are awesome as well, but sometimes I need to hear "quit yer whining and get back to work". I really love a well balanced friends list :)

I agree. I like that the guys arent afraid to tell it like it is. I sometimes need to be kicked in the butt. The girls are great and encouraging but guys are more direct, less afraid of how they are percieved...or not..IDK..And yeah sometimes the guys are a wealth of knowledge..why not have access to that.

See, I actually like having guy friends on here for just this reason. It's been my experience that the comments that make me laugh the most generally come from the guys.

I thought I might get dropped for flirting....

What!! Mike you flirt...wow, I am feelin....all kinds of bad, I have not gotten any Mike action....little verklempt I am.

But I have gotten dropped because a wife was jealous and let me tell you I was not even being flirty, just supportive but it secretly gave me a boost that someone would actually be jealous of me...lol....but was sad to lose such a good friend for really no reason.

I am willing to add anyone dumb enough to send me a friend request. I ask for a message, but as you can see on my profile, it isn't too demanding. Besides I figure they will learn their lesson after the 5th irrelevant post.

As to the OP's point, I do not think I have been turned down by a female yet, even asking about what they were wearing. I have subsequently been deleted by hundreds.

This doesn't even justify his awesome and irrelevant posts. Lol.

BUT I can imagine some women not accepting or adding men as "friends" if they are very open about they're female problems, and may not feel comfortable posting things if men could read them. It might just be a 'TMI' thing. Lol.

I welcome the friendship and support of the opposite sex... I find it refreshing they aren't caught up in the "perfect body" type as lots of women are... guys keep it real.... well, not always :) But it's cool to interact with men and women. And I laugh at those girls who type that oh-so-*****y you must do exactly as I say or you won't be added message... f that :) Not every guy wants you that bad, chickies.
  • I deleted a guy for his sexual/come on in a PM sent to me. it happened on more than one occasion. He even sent his number. However, i do have other great male friends. PLUS for a moment I had vowed 'NO more Guys" . I've had 2 new male friends since then. That didnt last long. lol . But i make it known its about fun and fitness. we are adults.. adults talk trash but don't send me your number and when i re-explain im in a devoted relationship....you reply.. no for real call me... NO NO BABES!! this is not the strip and Im not a little girl! No mean NO! lol...So maybe these women have had multiple experiences with this non-sense.. I mean.. yes.. i showed my boo-tay and boobs but don't flirt with me! LMAO!!!
  • i add anyone that requests me. Innocent until proven guilty.
Very well stated! I totally agree.

I have seen that a lot from guys and girls. They're like, 'Don't add me without a legitimate reason or else I won't be your friend, arrgghh!!' To my knowledge, there's no limit on the number of friends we can have. Plus, what if I don't have what I think is a legit reason? Is it good enough to like one post by this person? Or am I moving too soon? Do I have to buy them dinner? Will they be offended by my forwardness? Ugh, this is COMPLICATED! :ohwell:

Anywho...I accept all my friend requests. I hope people don't expect me to reach out to them a whole lot because I just don't think about it. But I like all you guys.
