Body Bugg Questions

OK I have been going back and forth on weather or not I want to get a Body Bugg. But the thing is. I know you only get to use the website thing for the body Bugg for 6 months before you have to pay 10$ a month to use it from then on. So You pay 150$ and then after 6 months you have to keep paying for it? I think thats kind of a rip off. So I had a few questions that can possibly help me out with my decision.
1) Can you still get to see all your information from the Body Bugg without using that website, if so how do you see it? (Calories burned. Steps Taken. Heart rate etc.)
2) If there is no way around using that website they provide with the body bugg, Is there a similar product to the body bugg that is about the same price if not cheaper?

I bought the fitbit about 1 1/2 months ago and I LOOOOVE mine! It cost 99$ and the website is free to use. However, it does not show your heart rate...just steps taken, calories burned, miles walked. It was exactly what I needed and was a better fit for me than the bodybugg. Check out the website for more info www.fitbit.com0
