I seem to have hit a plateau. I have lost 29 lbs. I have only lost 1 lb this month. Most days I do an hour of cardio a day running intervals and elliptical 5 to 6 days a week and weight training 3 days a week. I my calories are set at 1400 a day. I do eat back the majority of my calories. Since I've been doing that my weight hasn't budged. I am very frustrated. I still have plenty of weight to loose to get to my goal so I have no clue whats going on. Any help would be wonderful.

Have you adjusted you calories to reflect your weight loss? That may be the problem.

You wrote "since I've been dong that my weight hasn't budged"... Since you used to be losing weight, something has changed, but from your description, I'm not sure what is the change - is eating back calories the changed item?

(I don't know if I can help you, as I'm on a stubborn plateau myself)

I would suggest switching up your cardio or weights. Try doing a different thing of cardio like boxing or dancing or a workout video. Sometimes the body figures out what we are doign and then doesn't burn as much as it would if the moves were new. That's why we do interval work because the body doesn't get used to the same speed. Same principle.

Switch up your exersize routine - try something different
    > a class
    > weigh lifting
    > swimming
    > different incline

    Good Luck!!!!

I have hit a couple of plateaus also. I change up my routine, zigzag calories and try to drink more water when I hit a plateau. Keep your body guessing. Although the last plateau was quite stubborn, but when the scale wasn't moving was when I noticed it in inches lost and my pants started falling off. Hang in there.

Its fine to set a goal but keep in mind that that goal is really nothing more than a sign post. The road goes on regardless and you are still meeting your most important objectives: exercise, healthy eating and hopefully a much longer and happier life. Learning to treat yourself with the respect and dignity you deserve. All the rest (to steal a quote) is stamp collecting.
