Conflicted About Maintenance

Recently I posted a thread about my biggest NSV: my wedding dress was 2 sizes too big. I'm getting married in September and need to get it altered asap so my sister and I can customize it in time. Today I dropped the dress off to have it altered. The seamtress says I shouldn't lose any more weight or else it'll have to be taken in again, which I don't have time for. If I were larger or taller, those last few pounds wouldn't be enough to worry over, but I bought the dress just 8 lbs ago and it had gotten huge on me.
I was really hoping to lose these last few pounds before I get married, but this is a new "roadblock" for me. I like the size I'm at, aside from my waist. I know I should take the chance to just tone up and focus on maintenance, but I don't want to put off losing those last few pounds til October. I'm also worried that toning up may lead to more inches lost anyway. Ugh! Just so conflicted. =(
