Hi there - I'm looking for suggestions for a yoga DVD I could use to help boost my flexibility. I'm doing running quite regularly, and really noticing my lack of flexibility when stretching afterwards. I need a good DVD I can use at home to help. I have no yoga experience and am looking mainly to help build flexibility (not the mind/body/relaxation angle as much). My library has dozens of DVD's and I have no idea where to start. Can anyone make a suggestion for me? Thanks!

no matter what you get, PLEASE make sure it shows modifications for beginners.

the best thing to do would be to go to a local yoga studio and take an intro class so you have some hands-on experience before you dive into a DVD. really, it would. not trying to drag you into a studio, but some basic experience will help loads in the long run and help prevent injury.

yoga can be really beneficial for runners, though - the hip stretches especially are great.

    good luck.

Yay for you! I think yoga is an excellent cross train for runners. I have some Yoga DVDs from Giaam. (spell?) They make beginner's versions as well as advance. They usually perform the yoga outdoors in Hawaii or in the mountains with relaxing music. My husband likes the basic " A.M and P.M yoga for weight loss." He says it has helped him heal from running injuries.
