2 choc cake recipes to share

BLACK BEAN CHOCOLATE BROWNIE
1 Can black beans, rinsed and drained
3 eggs
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 white sugar ( i used 1/2 splenda)

1 tsp instant coffee (optional)
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Mix ingredients and place in 8x8 pan for 30 minutes -- @ 350.

CHOCOLATE OATMEAL CAKE
1/2 cup oatmeal soaked in 1 cup boiling water
add 3tbsp cocoa
mix & let stand.

Mix: 2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 cups brown sugar(i used a bit of splenda and reg)
1/2 cup oil
Sift in: 1 cup flour (i used whole wheat flour)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2tsp salt

Mix all together and place in 8x8 pan--350 degrees--for 35 minutes.

(I did double the recipe also)

    I made that recipe a few months ago. Turned out surprisingly quite well. Moist and chocolatey. My dad loved it. The black bean brownie recipe that is.

    just a thought - about the oatmeal choc cake
    you could probably use applesauce and/or yogurt instead of oil. (just sayin')--experiment,lol.

    I also put ground flax seed in each recipe - about 1/4 cup (sorry, forgot to write it in there)
