So lately, well over the past year or so I've felt like maybe I should settle down-or I guess that I'm getting to the time of my life that I should consider it. However, I haven't dated much, I've always been more about work. I get to this base and within a month there are four guys wanting to date me and someone from my last base (he'll be here in September) too. I'm not against being friends, and I've told them that's what I want, that I'm not looking for a relationship but this one in general is really into me.
But is he really? We're on this island where you can't leave the base at all, and this guy is in the middle of a divorce so I think he's just lonely, and as I've told my friends being in the Navy and seeing wha I've seen, I really doubt I could trust someone in the military. I've straight up said "We can be friends but I'm not looking for a relationship but some people just don't get it I guess. Ugh so frustrating. And now I sound totally conceited-Ha!

Stick to your guns... I'm sure you're a wonderful woman and I'm not discounting that at all... but I, too, would be leary if you were on a base where you weren't allowed to leave... I'd assume the men would be climbing up the walls to get some female company if you catch my drift. Stick to your guns, no pun intended! lol

^^This. Be friends, have fun. The right one with the right intentions will come in time and there is NO rush - even on an island.

Yeah, pretty much. I feel bad that sometimes guys don't get the idea, but when it comes down to it if they're going to be obnoxious and someone is going to get hurt-well better them than me. ORM kids, ORM.

Well I told him to calm down with the affectionate ways-I think I upset him, but it's better to 'nip it in the bud' now rather than lead him on.
