Ok, so here is an idea I have had for awhile, that will make me a cool million $$ <evil laugh>and start me on my way to world domination </evil laugh>
my infomercial will be for "the stick". for 2 easy payments of $39.99US you get the COMPLETE "The Stick(tm)" workout system. the system includes:
a stick
a "diet planner" that gets you to stop skipping meals, eliminate fast foods and cola's, eat real protein and lots of veggies.
an autographed photo of David Hasslehoff (after all, everyone needs a photo of the Hoss at their home or office)
The Stick workout plan tells you to stand in your front yard and swing the stick over your head, and march around your yard while yelling the theme song to gilligans island for 20 minutes each day. (get the knees high everyone).
I will offer a money back guarantee if you do not loose weight. I (and every other "system" out there) can do that because of the following:
a) they know most people are too lazy to ship it back for a refund.
b) they know that if someone does follow the routine that they will loose weight, more from the diet than from any device you use.
3) overall lack of attention from consumers in general.
would "the stick" workout system work without the front yard marching and singing of gilligans island? Yes, it would, but what fun is that. I would really know I am making an impact when I see all of the marching/singing stick wavers in their yards while on my way to the bank. I might even have my driver slow down so that I can wave to them.
I know everyone gets my point, that magic diets do not work and while some amazing exercise devices have been created, the vast majority of them sit in someones closet gathering dust (a good percentage still in the unopened box). Its almost like people think that just owning exercise equipment will help them. I am down about 35lbs weight loss at this point, and have had several friends ask me what I am doing. I tell them that I eat right and work out 4 days a week, and when I work out that its very high intensity. I can see that my response is not what they want to hear, I know that they were wishing I had some magic cure, some magic pill.. sorry folks, no such luck. Yes, you can drop weight with any of the fad diets or exercise plans, but can you keep that up for the rest of your life? I have tried LOTS of things but the only thing that has worked for me, is just following the basics and eat right, try not to feel hungry, and to get my carcass moving on a regular and consistent basis. I joked with one of my friends that people dont want to face the reality that they cant eat like a spoiled 5 year old and never work out. I think that some people would rather hear that I am doing ritual sacrifices of chickens in my back yard or eating the hair of a rare rabbit from the rain forest every day.
humm.. I wonder if I can get some rabbit hair (hare hair?) to offer as an option for people purchasing "The Stick" workout system?

A friend was telling me about something you sprinkle on your food so you would eat less. I told her to get some cayenne pepper which would have the same effect for her
Its all silly stuff. I remember this thing my aunt had that strapped around your butt and shook your fat off! It was a mostly great toy for little kids wanting to talk and sing funny.0 -

Yup! I think we've all been there. "If I had that ab roller, I would use it every day!" You get the initial excitement when you buy it, then lose motivation. Then it gathers dust in the closet.
People really have to hit that point where their motivation kicks in. Mine was a combination of wanting to lose my baby belly AND seeing pics of myself at Christmas. Yikes!0 -
 LMAO!!!!!! I'll have The Stick please, it sounds like the BEST THING EVER!!!!!
