What to bring for 4th of July

Hi everyone!
I'm sure many of us are revving up for the 4th of July this weekend (well, next Monday, whatever) and I was wondering if anyone had some ideas as to what I could bring!
My family is really "fancy" and really unhealthy. Lots of butter and bacon involved in most cooking. My older sister and I, though, both eat healthy and I choose to only eat poultry/fish when it comes to meat, and she only eats fish.
I probably want to bring a side or dessert, but I'm at a loss as to what to bring! Traditionally, I would bring the baked goods. I love baking! But they're not necessarily the healthiest.
Any recommendations?

I like this blog. She gives tons of recipes with Weight Watcher points and Nutritional info. I am sure you can find a "lightened up" version of something to take.

Easiest way to go would be to buy and cut up a watermelon. That's actually one of the first things that pops into my head when I think "summer cook out" (burgers, then beer :drinker:, then watermelon).0

I have a yummy dip for you...
Sea food dip
1 8 oz package of cream cheese ( you can choose light or fat free )

1 White onion
2 or 3 precooked packages of crab meet & little cocktail shrimps
Parsley
Mix cream cheese, cocktail mix, squeezed lemon juice, and chopped onion together in bowl. ( mix VERY well ) Once it is light pink spread it on a platter
Top with Crab peices and shrimp
Top with parsley to add a little color

I would probably make this without the glaze to cut out even more calories
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup cold butter
1 package (8 ounces) reduced-fat cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups halved fresh strawberries
1 can (11 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained
1 cup fresh blueberries
GLAZE:
5 teaspoons cornstarch
1-1/4 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Directions
In a large bowl, combine flour and confectioners' sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press onto an ungreased 12-in. pizza pan. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until very lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack.
In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Spread over crust. Arrange the strawberries, oranges and blueberries on top.
For glaze, in a small saucepan, combine the cornstarch, pineapple juice and lemon juice until smooth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Cool slightly. Drizzle over fruit. Refrigerate until chilled. Yield: 16 servings.

Grape salad from allrecipes.com. I omit the brown sugar and the nuts, and I substitute the low fat versions of everything and use splenda instead of sugar. Light, sweet, satifying, and YUMMY!0

I always bring my salad It's always requested. In addition, why not make a yummy baked good, but make it healthy! I think Jello or cool whip has a cute "pie" with whipped cream, strawberries, and blueberries that you could totally make healthy!0

Just this last weekend I brought a great dish...and easy...I cooked sweet potato fries (frozen...cooked on a cookie sheet for 20 minutes...did it at my parents) and vegetarian canned chili...warmed up...then I put the chili over the fries and sprinkled with a tiny bit of shredded cheese...less than 250 calories a serving....one bag of sweet potato fries and one can of chili...served 6-8... it was filling...felt like cheating food...and had protein so it didn't give the same...hungry 5 minutes later as the rest of the meal0
