Weight loss Help!

Im trying to get understanding of exactly what im burning off. Over the next month im trying to loose about 2.5 pounds a week. On average i burn about 5,000 calories a week. So i know that should be about a 1.5 pounds there ....so now im looking at how to burn the other pound ....where should i keep my net calories at? Ive been under 700 throughout most days! Not starving at all .... im pretty much sedentary until i go to the gym and work out .....any help would be great!!! Also not sure if it counts but im 5'8!

What is your MFP goal for weight loss set at? If you have it set to 2lbs a week than you have it covered already by adding in the exercise. You don't need the extra deficit of calories. If you don't have it at 2lbs you could change it.0

Yea its at 2 bit i wanted that extra. 5 pounds a week to hit my summer goal before returning to school!0

Thats a high goal. Your body can only do so much. If you dont mind me asking how much do you have to loose. The smaller you are the slower the weight comes off as I understand it0

5 lbs a week is a bit high. I weigh 340ish and lose about 1.5-2.5 lbs a week right now. I would focus on 2.5 lbs. at the max. You want to make changes you can continue otherwise it's really easy to gain the weight back.0

Sorry that wasnt clear but its .5 pounds.....so half a pound! I weigh 212 now and want to get to 180 at the moment ....more if i dont like the way i look at 180!0

Oh! .5 makes more sense! I think 2.5 lbs is doable. I would just add in 500 calories worth of exercise. :flowerforyou:
I've lost about 2.5lbs on average per week for the last 2 months.0
