I never got to do the whole Halloween thing when I was growing up. When I had kids of my own, I took them trick-or-treating, but now my oldest two are too old and I don't really want to take my youngest (8yrs. old) out for too long. We don't need the candy in the house. So, I'm trying to come up with some ideas for Halloween that the whole family can do together. What are your plans for Halloween this year?

Well you can bake your own low cal low fat treats and then have fun decorating it. There's also the whole pumpkin carving and painting eachothers faces. You also can buy a small bag of candy and hide some around the house and have your 8 year old go on a hunt. And maybe check your local events to see if there are any halloween party events going on in your area.

    Have a great halloween:drinker:

Decorating pumpkins and/or each other is fun. I love the idea of the spooky hunt for treats. I thought about taking us all to a haunted house this year. I have never done that! I know the older kids will have fun, but I'm wondering if my 8yr. can handle it. I'm leaning more toward yes, but still not sure.
