Am I supposed to subtract my resting calories from the total calories burned by exercise ? Or does the Ft4 do it for you? I've had the Ft4 since October and I can't find the directions to see what I need to do.Thanks

I may not be completely understanding your question, but I have a FT4 and use it only for exercise (it's not meant to be used as a basal calorie tracker). I log in every calorie it says I burn during a session of exercise. I don't subtract anything.0

If you are working out for longer than an hour and a half I MIGHT subtract, but I don't normally (or ever) because I chalk it up to adding in "after burn" or even other activity that I do throughout the day. It's all a big estimate anyway.0

I don't do to the fact that when I rest, my heart rate is still above 130. Resting to me is not excercising at all. As you can see, I use the exact same one.0
