Carbs and Protein... before/after workout?

Is it better to eat protein before your workout and carbs after? Or vice versa? I have heard that you shouldnt eat carbs 2 hours before you work out as you will be working off the carbs you ate rather than the fat you have stored....any advice?

I'm afraid I don't have any advice, but I'm keen to see what other people say.0 -
I drink 1/2 scoop of protein before the workout if it is in the morning and then do a post workout drink with a 4:1 ratio of Carbs to Protein.
Working out depletes your glycogen stores so you need to replace them with carbs and the protein helps muscle recover.
If you workout in the evening, I don't see a reason to eat anything before hand since you have been feeding all day but you do need the post workout drink.0
