Insanity Recovery Week

Was just wondering if anyone else found that they were really sore during this week? I had some sore muscles at the beginning of Insanity, but then I got used to it....but this week is intense. I have done two days of core cardio and balance and my shoulders and legs are burning like crazy. Is this normal? Anyone else notice this?

I'm at the same spot in my Insanity regime. I'm not really feeling sore tho. I def. feel the burn during the routine, but I'm not sore afterwards. Maybe you're pushing TOO hard for this week? I dunno... Shaun T says not to over do it on this one cuz it's recovery week, so maybe that's it? Good luck! Keep up the good work.0

Yes it is probably normal since you are doing moves your body wasn't used to! Just wait till next week! A whole new level of soreness!!0

Usually I'd say protein but that seems fine with you. Have you checked your potassium intake? Low potassium can contribute to soreness.0

I am 3 workouts away from being done with Insanity and I remember being sore in recovery week too. I thnk that I finally got used to all the month one moves and the soreness went away then during recovery started new moves and the soreness started again. I was much better by the end of recovery week and actually got some pretty good calorie burns in. During month 2 you do core cardio and balance off and on and just this week, I did it again, and was sore again. Good luck, keep pushing on!0

I didn't notice too much sorenes on the recovery week... the second month of Max interval, however, is quite a different story. I've made it through the first week but I'm still sore on a daily basis. Most likely the soreness will go away before the end of the week once ur body gets used to it. I think it's partially because the first month, it seems, didn't have as much upper body stuff. Especially compared to the second month. But I would take the soreness as a good thing, building muscle and burning fat!0

I am only on day 3, and I am still so sore...definitely going to try having more potassium. I used to regulary eat banans every day, but lately I have been trying to really watch my carbs. Oh well, can't sacrifice the potassium. Also need to find other good sources.
Thanks again!0
