Taste buds changing?

We have a cafeteria at work and I just went over to grab a sandwich for lunch. At the check-out I decided to grab a baggie of chocolate cookies. I had a bit of a chocolate craving and decided the extra work-out time would be worth it. I bit into it and it tasted so sweet I couldn't finish it. I ended up throwing the rest away along with the other two in the bag. I really haven't had a lot of sweets in the past two weeks and I guess my tastes are changing. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a food you used to love that just doesn't appeal to you at all now?

Yep. I quit drinking soda of all kinds a month ago. Now anything sweet is way, way too sweet. My fiance and I got our cups at the baseball game mixed up and I took a sip of straight Coke. Eew! It was disgusting!
So yes, tastes do change, and I'm loving every minute of it.0 -
Isn't that one of the great joys of this journey? Our body gets used to eating good, clean foods, and then immediately recognizes the super sweet food standing out from everything else it's been processing. Pretty cool machines we have.0

I also find that restaurant food and packaged food, such as soup, taste of nothing but salt! I'm glad to be shut of it all.0

Same thing happened with me. Heck, even a Sobe Lifewater tastes too sweet sometimes. Considering my mega sweet tooth, I consider that a big NSV lol0

I don't drink any fizzy any more either - I just can't bring myself to drink it!0

Oh yeah, definitely. I gave sweets up cold turkey years ago when a friend got cancer and I learned that some forms of cancer feed off of sugar and will shrink if you stop eating it. After a while I found I didn't want sweets anymore. It's not that I don't like them but I don't crave them and when I do eat sweets a little goes a long way. I can't tolerate more than nibble of really rich sweet stuff like fudge.0

My taste buds have been changing like nuuuuts this past year. I used to LOVE mushrooms, now I can barely eat them without getting nauseous. A whole BUNCH of other things. But it'll be a very sad day when I stop loving ketchup or onions.0

That's happened to me, yes.
That's part of the process!
MY GF, who runs a weight loss clinic, and I went out for a prime rib dinner. Debbie loves creamed corn but she only has it once a year or so 'cause it's just so full of calories.
Corn is muy high in carbs so I don't touch it but she begged me to try it. It was soooo sweet, I could barely swallow it.
And that's just one example.
Yup, "eating healthy" has definitely caused my taste buds to change and I'm very happy for it!0
