I just wanted to say Hello! And yes I am new to this forum. It was recommended to me to join this forum since I would have easy access to track my food and exercise, since I can not bring my phone into work. I am pre WLS, and currently plugging along on the pre op diet. My highest weight was 273, lowest weight was 240 and currently at 252. One day I hope to be a sexy skinny, healtier ogre!!

It just takes a little work on your part. My advice is educate yourself on healthy eating. Buy a food scale and watch portions. Limit processed and fast foods. Cook fresh Veggies and Meats. Eat whole grain Low carb Low Cal Breads and Pasta. Fresh Fruits. Did I say watch Portions. In the beginning it will be hard to get over cravings. But if you stick with it you will. Don't drink your calories. Did I say watch portions. Oh and watch portions.0

Hey there!! XxBri22xX is right! This is such a supportive sight, I've only been on here a short while but I love it!! My friends are great, offering words of encouragement when I've lost weight and advice when I've not been so good ;o) I love the fact that you have instant access to your logs and the forums etc, unlike when going to weight watchers meetings were I felt pretty isolated until the meetings (I know they're online too but I didn't do that bit!).

I have stopped drinking soda, and alcohol. I have the scale and I use it ALL the time! I am currently on 800-1000 calories a day and doing rather well actually. I dont crave alot of things and it is working for me thus far. When I initially weighed in at the orientation I was 265 (may 31st) and currently at 252 - I really cant complain.
