Saturdays are for sleeping. Sundays too. I really like to sleep. But today I'm up a little earlier than usual to go hold dogs for a microchipping clinic. I need to do a little gardening this afternoon as well. I will probably just get a walk in this afternoon and I hope to be ok with that - and just let myself eat when I'm hungry. I have much lunch ready for the clinic so I won't get festival food.

Tomorrow I hope to ride for 2 hours, so resting today is a good idea.

Yesterday I rode 30 minutes and walked 60 minutes.

V- a friend of mine is a grandmother for the same reason, so you're not alone. I think she's only 33 or so.

Have fun today!

Mary

Hi Mary, I just popped on to log some food. I haven't been here for awhile and just wanted to connect with apost again. I was up early too so I just started the housecleaning. I haven't been doing any formarl exercises, so I say good for you that you are. I am finding it very hard to get back into the exercise mode and I don't know why. I've tried charts and doing different exercises than I used to but nothing seems to catch my interest lately. What a bummer. Well just wanted to say hi to you. I'll check back in later today. Have a nice weekend. Karen ps is that a new kitty photo? What was he/she doing when you took that one?

Happy Saturday, everyone. I'm still coughing but hoping I can get it to stop long enough for my massage. Had to get up early this morning for work, but looking forward to a nice day. Not sure what I'll do for exercise, maybe a walk later. At least your family picked a nice weekend to have you walking all over town, V!

    Hi Ladies.
I'm working on my son's bed this afternoon, sanding. Always fun. I had to sand my car by hand so I am used to it and also tired of it. Haha. I am not counting calories now. I decided to drop the pressure some. It might be a bad idea. Don't know. I am struggling a bit with my eating because my dear sweet boy is STRESSING ME OUT! He's always been very good tempered and the autism has made him a little less active and temperamental. But since he is getting better and healthier on his meds, he's started acting like a normal 2 year old all of the sudden and I am kind of at a loss on how to handle it. I mean I know how to handle it as far as discipline but I'm not sure how to not let it get to me. So then I tend to eat more. I am going to try to be on my guard more and be ready to fight the temptations when I get stressed out. I am definitely an emotional eater as this year has shown me.
I just need to say no and pray I don't hurt my son! I won't hurt him. I couldn't do that. He's too cute. You do know that's why kids are so cute right? If they weren't we'd either send them back or hurt them. I'd better get busy sanding. Check in with you tomorrow!

I think it's very important to remember how you feel when you are exercising as well as how you feel afterward. I can't go a day without it - I feel so sleepy when I skip.

Iggy was yawning. There's a recent addition as well, but he's black. He's on my profile and is quite the clown.

I know what you mean about emotional eating mechanicmom, when I get sick I tend to eat alot to compensate for feeling miserable. I am glad to hear your son is doing better on his meds, I remember what the terrible twos were with my kids and I empathize with you. But you have the right idea right at hand, when you can get to it, do something physical like sanding your car or your sons bed. I find actually getting up and doing something takes my mind off what might be a binge time for some emotional moment I may be having. Good luck and keep up the good fight!

Whoo hoo I actually got a little walk in with my daughter's 4 month old yellow lab. I knew that terrible two dog was good for something. And yes he does act like a two year old. But he does have manners I will admit, but he has a jealous streak in him and misbehaves if he thinks he's not getting enough attention. Well a little walk is better than nothing.

Hi Vivia, it was beautiful here today too. I have high hopes for some more outside time tomorrow in the garden. Time to start buttoning it up. Yesterday we pulled all the potatos. And next on my list is raking the leaves for the compost pile. Have a nice weekend everyone. Karen
