I would use romaine lettuce (iceberg has no nutritional value for you) plus lots of veggies like tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. I would also use salsa as the dressing.0

Try adding cilantro, corn and/or salsa, and substitute fat free greek yogurt for sour cream for added protein.0

Depends on what your goals are. My taco salad (paleo style) would have a LOT of meat, organic baby greens, an entire bunch of cilantro, chopped fresh garlic and onions, one to two avocados (yep), a medium tomato and some clean salsa.0

You can swap Greek yogurt for sour cream, add guacamole (for healthy fats), use low cal cheese or reduced fat cheese. When I make layered taco salad I use refried beans (which aren't very healthy!) but I will get either the vegetarian (no lard) or low-fat varieties, usually will save you a ton of calories!0

Just check to make sure your ground turkey is very lean. If not, you might as well just use hamburger. I would use:
96/4 or something close ground turkey
black beans or refried beans
tomato/lettuce/cukes/onion/
avacado
a LIGHT southwest dressing or salsa
Man that sounds good...I need to make a taco salad night soon!0
