Weights/kettlebell - how many times a week?

I've just started doing kettlebell workouts at home, did 2 days in a row and man can I feel it! I'm having a bit of a rest day today (just 15 mins of billy blanks tae bo, no energy left) so I know it's not a good idea to do it too often. But then my body is probably in a state of shock at the moment!
Would every other day be okay? Or can you do more than one day in a row? I love it so much I wish I could do it every day, nothing else makes sweat drip down my face in quite the same way lol! (at the gym I used to turn beetroot red rather than actually sweat). It's the best feeling workout i've ever done, like i'm really pushing myself without feeling like i'm going to pass out like I feel with pure cardio
Other than that I do skipping, and i'm going to mix it up with exercise dvd's and the Wii etc when I need something different.

Variety is the key, (unless you are doing a strictly design program, say the 30 day shred).
I would give at least one day between KB work outs. Do something else, mix it up.
Not only does doing a variety of exercises work your body better, it also makes your exercising more interesting.0 -
Every other day is fine, but you can do strength training on consecutive days as long as you are working different muscle groups. I just got back to the 4 on 2 off schedule that I was on as a college athlete and until I got married and had hip surgery in the same year. Day 1 -- chest/back, Day 2 -- legs, Day 3 -- shoulders, Day 4 -- arms, Day 5& 6--rest. I also do cardio and abs every "on" day. I never feel burned out or experience muscle fatigue/ lactic acidosis.0

Thanks! I find it hard to work particular muscle groups with the kettlebell because they're such physical exercises they seem to work everything at once! I'll stick to every other day then I think. I'd really like to go swimming more often, maybe next month when I have the money. For now i'll find different things to do to keep variety in my workouts.0

The heavy ones (mine is 16kg) are supposed to work a lot of the muscles. 3 times a week for KB workouts I think.0
