Lifestyle setting vs logging calories burnt

I've always set my lifestyle setting as lightly active and then logged my exercise calories burnt...but as i'm concerned that the calories burnt are way off target, could I set myself as moderatively active, exercising 6 times a week for 30 mins, and just eat those calories and not log exercises? That puts me up to 1470 a day. I do kettlebell or cardio type exercises and I don't have a HRM yet. Normally with exercise logged it gives me just over 1500 anyway, and I think the calories burnt are overestimated for my actitivies, based on what i've read on here. If I look at the last 2 days with the new setting I still netted at least 1200.
Does anyone else do this?

Ditto. I have exact same concern. I actually just posted this question in another thread...
Im all ears. Wish to hear some logic explanation here...
However, 1200 is the lowest one can set as far as I understand?0 -
That sounds pretty good to me! As long as you'll still be motivated to work out.
I just set mine to "active" and stopped logging yard work, dog walks and hikes under and hour. I do have a HRM so I log gym trips and runs based on that. Same concept though!0 -

You can manually set your calories to anything you want, but 1200 net calories is the recommended bare minimum intake for women.0 -
I was under the impression that your lifestyle setting was based on your activities outside of working out. Like if you have desk job, a physically demanding job, ect.0

I think its meant to be that way but if you're doing something really regularly whats the difference between that and a job? Its just an easier way to track the regular stuff.0 -

It is, except one of my friends on here is like 3 feet tall or something, and her calories are way below that.0 -
